One aspect of the 'Saradar IT Programme'® is to advocate for the right of all to access ICT and to promote the importance of information technology as a tool, an alternative to recuperate disadvantaged and marginalised communities in order to facilitate their re-insertion in society. Partnering and networking with the media, for the third year in a row, has actively contributed to spread our message and prompted private enterprises and other institutions to collaborate with the 'Saradar IT Programme'® with a view to consolidate and extend its scope of its activities.

Radio talk shows
‘Fondation Saradar’ was invited to participate in radio talk shows dedicated to ICT and development. In June, a programme was scheduled at ‘Sawt el Chaab’ (Voice of People) to discuss technology and its impact on people. Tow other shows were held at ‘Sawt Loubnan’ (Voice of Lebanon) within the ‘Baldati’ programme. Another report was prepared on site in late July by Radio Liban Francophone and broadcasted in August. The SITP and ‘Baldati’ association partnered to organise two training rounds in Rechmaya and Eddeh (Batroun). A live interview with caravan participants gave insights about the training in rural areas.

Press announcements
‘Our partnership with the three leading newspapers, An-Nahar, L’Orient-Le Jour and the International Herald Tribune/The Daily Star includes SITP announcements to be published on a weekly basis. These advertisements indicate the caravan’s various locations and schedules. But most importantly, they carry the different messages the programme wants to disseminate as part of its awareness and advocacy activity. Specific themes are highlighted all year long, related to children, women, rural areas, people with additional needs, etc.

Press communiqués
Three to four times a year, press communiqués are released by ‘Fondation Saradar’ to focus on special events or IT activities undertaken by the SITP. Special attention is given to women and children, as well as to displaced villages or disabled people.

Branding
Two new logos were added on both sides of the caravan, in compliance with the partnership agreement established with ‘l’Orient-Le Jour’ and ‘the Daily Star’.

Web banners
In accordance with the media package provided to SITP partners, ‘Fondation Saradar’ develops special web banners to be posted on the sponsors’ websites, which are directly linked to the Foundation’s SITP web pages.
