TRAINING MAP
The training map was modified to accommodate the training schedule that was revised due to several reasons: unavailability of a municipality to host the project, difficulty for a village to mobilize the required number of participants for various considerations, lack of security measures and means to ensure caravan safety. For these reasons, Qana, Majdel Salem, and Bint Jbeil were not visited. The training activity planned in Majdel Salem was cancelled after several attempts were made by the Field Coordinator and local associations and clubs to host the E-caravan. Local authorities were not receptive due to the difficulty to mobilize the required number of participants: Majdel Salem is one of those borderline villages that still suffer from internal displacement.

Additionally, the IT training activities of the Phoenix Caravan in Aytaroun (Caza of Bint Jbeil) have been interrupted since January 9th 2009 due to the sudden deterioration of the situation in South Lebanon, as a result of the Israeli invasion of Gaza and its dramatic repercussions on Lebanon’s soil. The Phoenix Caravan is meant to resume its activities in South Lebanon on February 2nd 2009.
