Under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, represented by Ms. Lina Yamout, Acting Chief, Service of Environmental Guidance, at the Ministry, the "e-ecoeducation®" (eee) Caravan project will be launched during a press conference to be held on Monday October 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM. The project is initiated by "Fondation Saradar" in partnership with BankMed, Formatech, Pikasso, Beeatoona, IDM, World Environment TV & Magazine.
The e-ecoeducation or environmental education is based on IT and concerns electronic waste management, collection and recycling. It promotes and develops understanding, skills and values that will enable people participate in the achievement of an ecologically sustainable society. Fondation Saradar computer mobile school will serve as facilities to delivering the required information and training courses.
Through education, the proposed programme that combines advocacy and practical applications, is set to draw and raise the attention of the public at large, but more particularly, of young generations and the active population (MSEs & SMEs) to promoting the preservation and improvement of our natural environment through their business environment and the use of technology, as a 'must' tool in today's life.
The "e-ecoeducation®" mobile school builds on previous caravan projects, the Saradar IT Programme®, the E-Caravan® Phoenix and the Cadmus Caravan®. Furnished with a network of 10 PCs with flat screens, a laser printer, a wireless internet connection and an LCD Projector, the vehicle is also equipped with a ramp that provides easy access for disabled persons and special software to welcome visually impaired persons.
The "eee" caravan will be heading to its first stop in Beirut, where the training sessions will begin on Tuesday October 25, for a period of one month.
The project is implemented in partnership with concerned private companies and in close collaboration with municipal councils, grass-root associations, local and international organizations. The "e-ecoeducation® Caravan" is initiated in partnership with BankMed, Beeatoona, BIEL, Formatech Integrated Learning Center, Inconet-Data Management (IDM), l'Orient-Le Jour, Les Affichages Pikasso and World Environment TV & Magazine; and in association with An-Nahar, Bankers Assurance, Capital-Outsourcing, Carrosserie Abillama, Compagnie de construction immobilière, Compagnie des Sources du Liban-Sannine, Early Bird, Solicar and Triple C.
